About Mid Cities Classics

Upon graduating from TCU in 1983, Jim Welch opened the shop under the original name of Mid Cities Corvette. His passion for all things Corvette laid a strong foundation for what has since become a very stable & successful business. Jim and his team have over 125 years of automotive experience and have been at the same location since 1989.

In the early days Mid Cities Corvette was strictly a Corvette restoration and service shop. Eventually, customers started branching out in their restoration projects and asked Jim to do so also. In 1993 we changed the name to Mid Cities Classics, Inc. and have never looked back.

We are very fortunate to have played a role in over 500 complete & partial restorations of everything from C1, C2, & C3 Corvettes, Rolls Royces, Camaros, Street Rods, Airplanes, Helicopters, Boats, Harley & Indian Motorcycles, Tri 5 Chevys, Shelbys, Mustangs, Firebirds & Trans Ams, GTOs, Early Model Trucks, Blazers, Cadillacs, Lincolns, Gas Pumps, & Pedal Cars.

Today, Mid Cities Classics is a full service mechanical and body shop with over 2000 customers served. We can meet all your needs for maintenance and/or repair of your specialty vehicle including Complete Engine Overhauls, A/C, Transmission, Chassis & Suspension, Electric Issues, Brakes, Paint, Fabrication, & Collision Repair.
